About Add Text to PDF
Place custom text at any position on PDF pages. Specify the exact coordinates, font size, and color. Useful for adding labels, annotations, stamps, or filling in simple form fields.
How It Works
This tool uses pdf-lib to embed the Helvetica font and draw text at the specified x/y coordinates on selected pages. The text becomes part of the PDF — it is not a floating annotation.
Step by Step
- 1 Upload a PDF file
- 2 Enter the text to add
- 3 Set the position (x, y in points from the bottom-left corner)
- 4 Adjust font size and color
- 5 Optionally specify which pages to annotate
- 6 Click Add Text to apply
- 7 Download the annotated PDF
Tips
- Position is measured from the bottom-left corner in points (72 pt = 1 inch).
- Start with x=50, y=750 for near the top-left of an A4 page.
- Use a light color for watermark-style text overlays.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add text to specific pages only?
Yes. Enter page numbers or ranges in the pages field. Leave empty to add text to all pages.
Can I add multiple text blocks?
Process the PDF once for each text block. Each pass adds one text element.
